Simplice A. ASONGU is founder and lead economist of the African Governance and Development Institute; founder and director of PLEHO International; founder and director of ASBL Freducan and vice president / Co Founder of the Association of African Young Economists.  
As an independent economist, he has a scientific output of over 140 self-funded papers of which more than 110 are singularly authored. His works have been published and/or are forthcoming in leading scientific media like: the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Economic Studies, South African Journal of Economics, African Finance Journal and the African Development Review.
Recent Awards:
-2014 KOICA President´s Award for the Best Submission from a researcher from the 26 Priority Partner Countries of the Korean Government: Knowledge Economy Gaps, Policy Syndromes and Catch-up Strategies: Fresh South Korean Lessons to Africa.
